Michele's Private Entry:
My life has changed so much since I started this journal, and that was only two weeks ago. I'm still dancing and still living at the same place and in many ways my life is very much the same, except for one thing, or should I say one person, Wyatt. Who's Wyatt, you might ask? Well... I'm not sure how to answer that. He's definitely my friend, and he's also more than a friend, although I wouldn't officially call my boyfriend yet. Actually, I might... but he told someone at a party that I wasn't so I guess I'm not. We have only know each other two weeks, but it feels like so much longer. When we're together it feels like I've known him forever. We feel like a couple when we're together, even though we havent' done anything yet except kiss. He's just... he's so sweet and caring and he's a nice guy and we have a lot in common. It was a completely random meeting... I've been looking to meet people outside of the company, but this was a complete surprise. He just walked right up to me and asked me if I was waiting for anyone, and we hit it off right away. I could easily see myself falling in love with him. I won't jinx anything by saying he's "the one" but I wouldn't be surprised if he was. He's made me so much happier. Pretty any of the little free time I get away from ballet I've been spending with him. He even took me to this incredibly fancy Christmas party with his friends. It was nice to meet his group and his band. Some of his girl friends come on a little strong at first, one of them even hounded Wyatt about if I was his girlfriend and how we meet and all that, but she ended up being really nice. I'm excited for Christmas, but even more excited to see where things go with Wyatt and what's to come.

Michele O'Shea was born in New Jersey on June 23, 1990, the oldest of three girls. From a very young age Michele was a "performer", showing off for others and loving it when she was the certain of attention. Michele also had lots of energy, so at the age of 3 her mother put her in her first ballet class at "Miss Carole's School of Dance". Michele was a natural talent. At the age of 9 she audtiond for the school of american ballet and for the next few years traveled back and forth from jersey to Manhattan to take classes at the school. Though she loved ballet and performing, she was so busy she never had to time to really be a child. At the start of high school Michele the began dorming at the school and dancing full-time. Now 21 and full time members of the corps with the New York City Ballet, Michele is beginning to realize how much she's missed out on because of dance and is trying to find a life outside of the ballet world. At the same time she wants more than anything to be promoted to soloist with the company, something that requires her full committment to dance. She is, in a way, torn between her own desires.
As far as relationships, dance hasn't left much room for a dating life for Michele. She's dated a few guys in the company but they have been brief and casual relationships. Michele is ready to find true love, if only her schedule will let her. Most of Michele's friends are fellow dancers. Michele loves her parents and her younger sisters (Kristine- age 18 and Samantha-13), but only sees them on the occasional weekend and holiday. Michele's middle sister, Kristine, is now a freshman at NYU so Michele sees her more frequently and they are getting to be closer. Michele recently signed up for a once a week class in literature at the city college to try and expand her circle of friends (and potential dating interests) outisde of the dance world.
Michele is tough when it comes to the world of ballet, knowing how to navigate her way around both the official and unspoken rules of the company, but is a bit naieve when it comes to real life. She is used to being yelled at and berated by dance masters and choreographers and dancing until her feet are red and sore, but is sensitive and easily hurt by friends and boyfriends, as well as anyone who betrays her trust. Michele is trustworthy and sweet and a good friend to the few friends she is able to make outside the ballet company.
